In California eucalyptus are everywhere. They are a large beautiful tree. The variety I used for this painting is the Silver Dollar Eucalyptus.

"Rose" 6x6

This little antique Chinese porcelain brush washer (plus two others) has been sitting around in my studio for a long time, but has never been used in any of my painting. It was about time for it to make an appearance. I like the idea of the pot sitting just inside the shadow. Maybe a grouping of all three would make a nice composition.
